By opening a Stripe account through Mayfair, your funds are held at Evolve Bank & Trust and are eligible for pass-through FDIC insurance up to the current standard maximum FDIC insurance of $250,000. Mayfair and Stripe are not themselves FDIC-insured institutions. FDIC insurance coverage is only available to protect you against the failure of an FDIC-insured bank that holds your deposits and does not protect you against the failure of Mayfair, Stripe Payments Company, or other third party.
